This was a great second book in the Hunger Games trilogy! I would definitely recommend that you read Hunger Games first, but Suzanne Collins does a great job of explaining things/events that were brought over from the first book. I really fell in love with Katniss in the first book, and she has the same spirit about her in this book. We get to know a little bit more about some of her supporting characters as well. Just as in the first Hunger Games book, this one had its fair share of "wow" moments. The end of the book leaves you with a few questions so be prepared to read the last book in this trilogy. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first installment of Hunger Games and anyone who enjoys a fast paced action book, but also has a bit of a love story mixed in.
